My Journey
I found my passion when I was in year 11 in high school. I wanted to lose a few kilos because I was uncomfortable with the way I looked. So, I did some research and started to exercise daily after school. I mainly performed body weight exercises and running, as well as consuming a healthy diet. Soon enough I started to drop a few kilos and my friends started noticing.
I had a friend that was already interested in health and fitness. We would both go to the park after school and exercise together, pushing each other. Then we started inviting friends to come with us after school to exercise together. I loved teaching them exercises and pushing them past their limits. It felt satisfying, helping them realise how much they could push themselves. I realised this was my passion, to help others in a field that I enjoy, Personal Training!
Soon after school finished, I completed my qualifications in TAFE and received my certificate 3 and 4 in fitness. During the course I had a really good time, making friends, learning & training with them. The teachers there were awesome and they really helped me during the course.
I was offered a position at Vision Personal Training North Strathfield, it was ranked number 1 studio in the whole network so I was excited to be part of the team. It was a tough environment but perfect from a growth and learning perspective. When I first started, I was shadowing the trainers and helping out when needed.
Soon I became a Trainer after completing the Mentor Program and I was super excited to get started. I fell in love with helping people and seeing them achieve their goals. We would have 3-4 meetings a week to make sure everything was on track. I learnt the Vision system very quickly. My mentor at the time told me to start listening to audiobooks for personal development. I had no idea how much of an impact it would have on my life. The first book I listened to was ''The Four Agreements'', wow. It impacted the way I thought and it made me mentally stronger. I continued to listen to more audiobooks and learnt a lot of valuable information. The studio was pumping with energy. I was gaining a lot of hours and training a lot of clients, I felt alive.
I worked at Vision North Strathfield for 11 months, then decided it was time to move on, I still wanted to work in the Vision Network, so I made the move to Vision PT Wahroonga. It was all because of Sarah, Vision Wahroonga's director. She invited me to come to the studio for an interview and soon after I was offered a place in the team. The studio has a really good culture which aligns with my values. I continue to be a part of the Vision Wahroonga team and I am very grateful to be able to continue as a Personal Trainer. My current goal is to continue to help as many people as possible and do as many events with my clients as possible!
