Client from Mortdale
Vision Mortdale opened the week I moved to the area. I had 'find a gym' on my move list, so it was remarkably fitting that the first thing I pulled out of the new letterbox was a flyer advertising for Vision Mortdale.
I liked the idea of a 9-week body transformation to test whether I could focus and commit, so I called Danny to sign up. The gym was brand new. The freshness of the new gym, and the culture that came with it, felt very much like a supportive family (and still does!). The trainers were encouraging and caring for everyone, not just their own Clients and we all wanted each other to achieve their goals.
I very quickly realised Vision was going to be more than just a recurring PT session for me, but a lifestyle change. Matt emphasised the importance of nutrition and planning ahead, something I rarely thought about before. I read the "Ready, Set, Go" book and loved the simplicity of its "eat better and move more" mantra.
And honestly that's what I did. I bought a food scale, started planning my weeks' eating in advanced through the MyVision app, and made sure I kept up the weekly hours of recommended weights and cardio activity.
I've been shocked by the transformation, but I guess I shouldn't be, because so many clients before me have also achieved their goals. I'm delighted regardless. Thanks to Matt for the PT, running, and nutrition guidance, and Danny, Randall and Andy for the group sessions and peripheral motivational support. Also, thanks to my partner Nat for support at home to free me up to attend the gym.
Mortdale Vision is off to a great start, so I'm very much looking forward to 2020 and reaching more goals.
