On the 2nd January I was having lunch with 3 friends who we all agreed we were all carrying too much weight after the Christmas break and wanted to do something to get us fit again. We agreed to do a triathlon in March.
The training was made easier by the competitive nature in everyone not wanting to come last out of the group as we hadn't done a triathlon before. We also had to learn about how to complete a triathlon and buy the gear! I lost 6 kg in 10 weeks for the event and got to my goal weight. It also got me into some better habits watching my drinking and eating.
The event was great and got through it with the group. Have ticked a box doing this event that I never previously thought I would do. Now the goal is to keep the weight off!
