With the festive season around the corner, I get it—it's the time of year when the exercise routine gets a bit trickier. But don't stress, we’ve got your back. Let's chat about how to keep the health train chugging along while still soaking up the holiday cheer.

1. Diverse Workouts to Keep It Fun

I know, sticking to the usual workout routine during the holidays can be tough. So, let's mix it up. Try some banded resistance training if you have no access to weights, a brisk walk in nature, a swim in the local pool or a dip in the ocean, a bike ride, or even some good ol' bodyweight exercises. Variety keeps things interesting, and your muscles will thank you.

2. Consistency Over Intensity

Look, we’re not saying you need an epic workout every day. Short, effective sessions can be just as powerful. It's all about keeping that consistency alive, even if it means a quick workout or a power walk after a family feast.

3. Family-Friendly Fitness Fun

Let's turn exercise into a family affair. After all, the more, the merrier, right? Suggest a post-dinner stroll to the family, a friendly game of touch football, or even some TikTok dancing with the kids. Not only do you stay active, but you also make memories with your loved ones.

4. Flexibility with Food, Not Stress

Ah, the holiday feasts, the best part of Christmas, right? Instead of stressing over every calorie, let's keep it real. Enjoy your favourite foods but in moderation. It's a time to savour good food and good company without the guilt trip.

5. Plan Like a Pro

Success often comes down to planning. How about a weekly exercise schedule? Mix in solo workouts and family activities. And when it comes to meals, a bit of planning on your MyVision app can keep things balanced without missing out on the holiday favourites.

6. Realistic Goals, Real Progress

No need for drastic changes during the holidays. Let's set some achievable goals. Small steps forward beat the all-or-nothing approach any day. We're in this for the long haul not just the short term.

7. Reflect and Recharge

As the year winds down, take a moment to reflect. Celebrate your wins, no matter how small, and set some intentions for the coming year. Positive vibes only.

So, as the festive season approaches, let's keep the health journey rolling. Mix up those workouts, involve the family, enjoy the treats, plan a bit, set realistic goals, and finish the year on a high note. Here's to a fit and festive season!

Remember, the studio will be open, so chat with your trainer and get your sessions booked in!
