There are many ways to incorporate fun exercise into your lifestyle, involving friends and family as well. A healthy-style picnic is always a great event to take place on the sunny weekend. This way you can control what food you bring, and also come up with some fun games to play beforehand. Ball games, quick cricket and Frisbee are all great games to involve everyone and get everyone moving more!
Bush and coastal walks are another excellent way of keeping up with your cardio goals whilst enjoying all the outdoor environment has to offer. Have you tried:
- Split Bridge to Manly Scenic walk
- Bondi to Bronte walk
- Bradley Head to Chowder Bay Walk - amazing harbour views
- continue on and complete the leg from Chinamans Beach to Balmoral Beach
- Checked out one of the many walking trails in the Blue Mountains
You could also meet up with a friend and walk/run to a location in range for breakfast. After ample time has passed to digest, walk back! Ensure you take fluids with you along the way to ensure dehydration does not occur. This is a great way of involving your circle of influence and socialising at the same time.
Exercise doesn't have to be boring, or always performed in the studio. It's great to have a healthy mix of studio based activity while taking advantage of the excellent facilities and surroundings Sydney has to offer while enjoying time with family and friends!
