The most important decision you are going to make on your Weight Loss Journey is who you're going to spend your time with.
It is important to understand that the people you spend time with will impact your results for the better or for the worse.
Spend your time with people who are going to challenge you not just support you. Find a peer group that is going to play at a higher level because people's lives are a direct reflection of the expectations of their peer group.
What we are looking to establish is how much time we need to spend with someone in order to be in the best possible position to achieve a Weight Loss goal with minimal stress or disruption.
So, who are the people you are currently spending most of your time with?
They could be your Wife/Husband, Boyfriend/Girlfriend, A Sibling, A Friend, Co-Workers, Extended Family Members.
Before you decide to either extend your association or limit your association with these people, ask yourself these questions:
1. Does this person encourage me to eat bad food?
2. Does this person encourage me to drink alcohol?
3. Does this person make fun of me for wanting to live a healthy lifestyle?
4. Does this person encourage me to sleep in rather than exercise?
If you have answered YES to any of these questions, then some changes need to be made.
Extend your association with the people that will lift you up and keep you on track when things get tough.
Limit your association with those people that influence you in a negative way. This will make your Weight Loss Journey a smoother process.
If you can't limit your association with some people, then encourage them to join you on your journey. Enjoying the journey with others is much more rewarding than the destination itself.
I wish you all the best with your goals and I trust you will make the right choices with your circle of influence.
