I never worried about weight gain or food before, but going through the hormonal changes shifted my perspective on things. I... tried everything before I considered implementing exercise in my day by day. I wanted to manage menopause without medication, which meant that nutrition and exercise had to became essential. This change in priorities required real commitment. In October 2023, after a check-up with my GP, I decided to take action. I contacted Marcus from VISION Five Dock, and after a thorough chat, the following week, I started their nutrition and exercise program. Progress came quickly, 300 grams in the first week, then a little more each week. Over the course of a year, I went from 70 kilos to almost 56 kilos. It felt remarkable and so rewarding. But the most surprising and positive change? My menopause symptoms were gone. YAY! Being part of the Training program has completely transformed my life. My weight is back on track, but beyond that, I’ve fallen in love with exercise. It’s now a priority, right alongside my nutrition. Even better, my whole family is on board! I now get to share this experience with my husband, making it even more special. Every week, Charlie (my trainer) and I review my progress, adjust my nutrition and training, and set new goals to keep me motivated. This ongoing support has made all the difference. The hard & moderate cardio classes keep me engage (these are hard to miss!), the stretching sessions help with recovery, and my once-casual walks around the bay have turned into 5km runs, something I never thought I could do. The Vision team at the studio is simply the best, incredibly supportive and inspiring. At this stage, I feel stronger, healthier, and more energized than ever. Exercising daily has become second nature, and I genuinely enjoy it. More importantly, I see this as a long-term commitment to my health and well-being. If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that change is possible at any stage of life. If you’re wondering whether you can do better, I promise you, you can. Age and ability level are not an impediment to joining and making progress at Vision. Clients also... tend to support each other in group sessions and activities. These days, I have both trainer-led sessions and solo sessions, where I supplement my resistance program exercises, as well as getting the heart rate up with cardio (bike, treadmill etc.). John MusumeciMarch 17, 2025"I highly recommend Vision Personal Training at Five Dock. I have always valued my health and fitness but found that over the last few years, I was having troubles controlling... my weight despite exercising and eating healthy. My wife had joined in October 2023 and I saw the amazing results that she achieved going from "zero to hero' in terms of fitness and health, from never exercising to now thoroughly enjoying her training and experiencing all the health benefits. This inspired me to take the plunge and join in late January 2025, with lots of scepticism about whether I could achieve any results. My aim was to get healthy! Not quickly, but over the long-term. I had an initial consultation with Marcus where we discussed my lifestyle, habits and goals and he set my program to suit my needs. I never ever thought I would ever join a personal training program, but I am so glad I did. I have always been into exercise and sport, but had so much problems managing the nutritional side of the equation. I had read that keeping a healthy weight was 70% diet related because this was so difficult for me, I could never control my weight. I felt lethargic, moody and had no energy and this was really affecting me. Most of all, when your pants are tight, your shirts don't fit and you wear the same clothes because they're the only ones that fit, then you know you have a problem and that was me. Well, after 4 weeks I am incredibly, almost 6 kg lighter and feeling great. I have dropped 2 inches (1 pants size) and I'm now able to wear all of my clothes. In fact, some of my clothes now bother me as they are too big! Never ever thought I'd be saying that! However, the part I would like to stress to others considering a change in their life, is the help that I'm getting understanding the nutritional side of the equation. As I said, I never had a problem with the exercise component, but always struggled with the nutritional side. In this time with Vision PT, I have gained so much knowledge regarding the food I eat, how much to consume, what and when to eat. This has made a huge contribution to achieving my results. The other thing that is helped tremendously is the fact that both my wife and I are on the same journey and planning our meals is now a routine for us. I think it is so much easier when partners are on board with the nutritional side as it is less stressful and easier to control than if just 1 person is on the program. The other positive from this change is that my wife and I spend so much time together. Either at the Five Dock studio, on our walks or even playing squash together; something that I never ever thought we'd do together. I could go on and on, but take home message is that if you are having difficulties maintaining a healthy lifestyle or have health issues, I would consider Vision Personal Training as a serious option to help you get back on track. About the owners

Marcus started in the fitness industry in his early 20’s and has worked in various roles. Most notably as a member of the Leadership Team at Vision Drummoyne. Progressing through the Vision Career Path Marcus was part of the Vision Drummoyne team that won the Vision Network Studio of the Year award 3 years running. Alongside Jennie, Alex & Daniel Marcus aims to create a welcoming & friendly atmosphere for all members of the studio and the local community.
