Making the decision to change your lifestyle can be a hard one to make.

This could be a decision to eat healthier, making time to work out, or even just the way you are living your life.

Having a support network is so important when it comes to sticking to and achieving your goals and can also make it easier to make permanent changes in your life.

Approaching people inside the studio can be challenging, so make the decision to attend Group Training sessions. Group sessions are a great way to meet like-minded people and to get connected. I know some of the members in the group session I run, go for coffee or walks after the session so it is a great way to build your friendships. On the other hand you might have a specific friend in mind that you would love to join the studio so bringing them to a group session would be a great first step.

Make sure you are involved in the community, whether it be taking part in events such as fun runs, pub to pubs, joining Facebook groups, being a part of challenges, or attending Christmas/birthday parties are a great way to stay connected with people throughout the studio. With the communities support you will realise that you are certainly not alone and in fact many people are in fact sharing your thoughts, worries and struggles. Being connected in the community also helps with extrinsic motivation as you have encouragement from your peers that can be extra helpful, even on a bad day!

Surrounding yourself with people who are negative and who aren't motivated will slowly begin to drag you down and will slowly start to impact your progress. So make sure that when you are looking for support that you find people that are positive and whose goals align with yours. You want someone who is motivating, energetic and encouraging.
