People who are on a fat loss journey will often try to take the fast and easy road and turn to supplements to do this.

Fat burners have become one of the most lucrative products for supplementation companies as people look to find magic in a bottle to help them lose fat. Unfortunately, people who take fat burners soon discover they have no long-lasting effect. Stimulants like this will often provide the body with a great deal of energy and can often suppress their appetite. This sounds like the perfect scenario, right?

Fat burners usually consist of high powered central nervous system stimulants such as caffeine. The effects of these are rather short-lived as the body quickly adapts to this and tolerance to this stimulant can happen in as little as one week.

Your body produces its own natural stimulants and when exogenous stimulants are consumed, production of the body's natural stimulants will be down regulated or shut down.  For the coffee drinkers out there, you probably would have noticed that you need to have your morning coffee to bring you back to the base level of energy and may in fact need multiple coffees each day to do this.

Once someone stops taking fat burners, it is common for people to have a slower metabolism and have less energy than they had prior to them taking fat burners.

So, if there's no magic pill that will make you burn fat, then what's the best way to do it? Nutrition, exercise and sleep.

Rather than spending your money on a pill that will not work, invest in quality food and a good personal trainer that will guide you to your fat loss goal.
