1. How was your health and fitness before you joined Vision?
I was definitely neither fit nor healthy when I joined Vision Gym in 2021! I was overweight at 72 kilos, my blood pressure was high, my energy was low and I had neck and back pain. The toll of putting everything (tertiary studies, work, volunteering) before my health and fitness had taken its toll.
2. Tell me about your recent training (the highlight of it)?
The highlight of my training is each and every day! Each day has some form of exercise with either walking, the gym or a ride.
I really enjoy the the challenge of weights training twice a week and group classes are fun. Working with my trainer and being accountable helps to keep me on track. I also find the 9 week Bioscans and Goal Setting very motivating.
My husband Stuart is also a Vision member. Having him join has been a highlight as we do a lot of the activities together.
3. What results have you achieved?
I have lost 12 kilos and halved my blood pressure tablets! My back/neck is stronger and I have a lot more energy than previously. Most of my Bioscan results are now optimal and I am 5 years younger than my biological age!
4. What would you tell someone who is thinking about joining Vision?
The first few months are a bit tricky when you are trying to get fit and lose weight. However, don't give up as all of a sudden things will fall into place! I found using the Vision pre-prepared dinners helpful early on because you can be confident about keeping track of what you are eating. Also the trainers know a lot. Don't be afraid to ask for their advice.
