Meet Wendy, a true inspiration! At 68, after her second total hip replacement, she’s unstoppable.
Wendy’s been committed to her PT sessions for nearly 13 years, focusing on weight training, after losing over 30 kilos with Vision. Her long-term dedication to fitness and an active lifestyle paid off tremendously. Just two weeks post-surgery, Wendy was walking unaided and getting stronger every day.
Only three weeks post-op, Wendy made remarkable progress. Her physio was impressed with her functionality, biking stamina, and treadmill strides. Her trainer adapted her weight training routine to focus on her upper body while gradually regaining strength in her lower body.
Three months post-surgery, Wendy was cleared to return to normal exercise, progressively loading her hip joint. She’s back to walking 7km daily, pain-free, and enjoying her strength training sessions.
Wendy credits her dedication to weight training and walking for keeping her youthful and able to keep up with her five beloved grand kids and travel the world during her retirement.
